We are looking for mechanically inclined candidates with good attention to detail for the position of Agricultural Equipment Technician. The primary duties of an Agricultural Equipment Technician include performing routine maintenance and diagnostic tests on agricultural equipment to find faults, analyzing diagnostic test results, and repairing or replacing engine, steering, transmission, braking, or hydraulic system components.

Agricultural Equipment Technician need to be highly organized and communicate effectively, as they will be expected to maintain detailed records of serviced equipment and interact with team members on a daily basis.

Agricultural Equipment Technician Responsibilities:

Responsible for repairs & maintenance of agricultural, construction, lawn and garden and grain handling equipment and machinery supported by dealership.

Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics and understand how they are utilized in the diagnostic process.

Running diagnostic tests on agriculture equipment, construction equipment, lawn/garden, and grain handling equipment.

Analyzing diagnostic test results.

Replacing equipment engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, hydraulic, and braking systems.

Checking equipment lighting systems.

Performing preventative maintenance on customer equipment.

Maintaining detailed records of serviced equipment.

Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.

Identify correct parts to be used for service repairs and maintenance.

Maintaining a parts inventory.

Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop.

Ability to perform calibrations and installations; such as calibrating a fertilizer system.

Communicate timeline for completion of repairs to Service Manager.

Ensure customer satisfaction with all services performed.

Collaborate with service & warranty, shop lead and/or service manager to ensure most effective and efficient manner in completing repairs or maintenance of equipment.

Agricultural Equipment Technician Requirements:

1-year previous Agriculture experience preferred.

Mechanically inclined.

Valid driver's license.

Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical components.

Good diagnostic skills.

Physically fit and able to at least 50 pounds.

Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.

Attention to detail.

Good interpersonal skills.

Excellent verbal communication skills.

Good organization skills.
