EdChoice and Tuition Assistance Specialist

Reporting To: Director of Admissions

Status: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt, 12-Month

Schedule: Twelve-month, full-time position


Description: This position provides the administrative and program support for tuition assistance and the Ohio EdChoice scholarships for CHCA's Edyth B. Lindner, Founders' and Martha S. Lindner campuses and assists the Admissions Office as needed with the enrollment processes of both current and prospective families.


Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Fielding Tuition Assistance and EdChoice application questions from new and returning families
  • Receiving, reviewing, and entering EdChoice applications (and all associated supporting documentation) into the OHID portal
  • Ensuring CHCA compliance with established EdChoice policies and procedures
  • Maintaining accurate records related to monthly scholarship checks
  • Following up with families to ensure all financial aid applications are completed
  • Reviewing each financial aid application according to established standards and prepare recommended awards in advance of weekly meeting of Tuition Assistance Committee
  • Generating and mailing award letters
  • Routinely auditing data to ensure billing accuracy
  • Generating annual reports showing financial aid distribution, average awards, etc.
  • Supporting enrollment efforts of the Admissions Office

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • High degree of accuracy in working with data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in all Microsoft tools and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and seasonal peaks in workflow
  • Proven relationship building skills with varied constituencies (both internal and external)
  • Experience working across multiple software and database systems
  • Self-starter, with high level of personal initiative
  • Ability to strictly maintain confidentiality of data received
  • Comfortable working in a multi-denominational, Christian environment
