NOVA Engineering is seeking an Project Environmental Engineer / Geologist / Scientist for our Kennesaw, GA office. Primary responsibilities will include: day­-to-day execution of project assignments and consultation to our Clients associated with environmental services (Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs, Corrective Action Plans, Brownfields Applications, HSRA Notifications, etc.) throughout the Atlanta metropolitan statistical area (MSA).

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. This candidate can be an Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist with due diligence experience. Duties:

  • Perform Environmental field activities including: Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and Phase II Remediation field activities, Indoor Air Quality activities (mold, asbestos, lead-based paint), and underground storage tank removals
  • Preparing and executing reports and other client correspondence
  • Providing oversight, QA/QC, analysis, laboratory testing and field services as required to meet our Clients’ expectations
  • Project Management and business development duties
  • Cross-train with NOVA's other service lines
  • Mentor junior staff and review reports

Requirements:

  • Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Sciences Degree
  • 5+ years’ experience with due diligence projects (Phase I, II)
  • OSHA HAZWOPER certification is preferred
  • Good communications and reporting skills
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)

Preferred:

  • Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACM) or Lead-based paint certifications
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) are preferred, but not required
