Process Improvement Specialist II
Worldwide Counter Threat Solutions (WCTS) is looking for a Healthcare Process Improvement Specialist as part of an ongoing contract supporting the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Optimizing Health Care Value Program (OHVP). OHVP provides enterprise-wide analysis to validate and optimize the Return on Investment (ROI) of major strategic initiatives and objectives as identified by VHA leadership.
Work Location: Hybrid workplace: Regular work will be split between Fredericksburg, VA, customer site visits in the DC Metro area and telework.
Travel: 2-3 monthly meetings in the DC/Northern Virginia area. Other locations up to 15%
Start Date: Immediate
Clearance: VA NACI
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Participating in work groups to assess current processes and OHVP policies, provide recommendations for improvement, implement or develop new/improved processes
- Developing and managing site engagement project plans, communicating tasks/related deadlines to assigned analysts daily
- Participating in on-site engagements, developing and editing briefings and presentations for virtual and on-site engagement, management of on-site schedule and communication, note-taking and analysis as needed
- Communicating with POCs at facility, managing analyst/SL Chief schedule related to concurring visits, managing site engagement tasks and timelines, weekly meetings with POCs
- Participating in the Quality, Integration, and Standards Group for information sharing, integration between service lines and service line chiefs, tasked with various projects related to quality of deliverables, participation in monthly in-person meetings for this service line and 2 day/week huddles
- Experience in the implementation process of a High Reliability Organization (HRO)
- Experience in utilizing the ADKAR Change Management Model
- Advanced knowledge of Clinical Workflow, Informatics, Upfront, and Gap analysis.
- Experience with EHR Configuration/Change Management/Implementation.
- Must be able to write high-level reports with formal business language.
- Experience with briefing stakeholders, leadership, and end-users regarding mission critical projects.
- Ability to evaluate, develop, implement, and refine clinical decision support systems & clinical processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Program evaluation and functional review for complex healthcare and administrative operations.
- Documenting processes, maintaining records, and preparing reports.
- Research and evaluate data from different sources to identify discrepancies and patterns.
- Work with management and other internal departments to implement and assess developments.
- Interviewing healthcare providers and patients, observing healthcare service delivery. procedures, and collecting electronic healthcare data.
- Analyzing and interpreting data to identify areas that need improvement.
- Collaborating on improving standards of care, policies, and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare information management regulations.
- Perform regular site visits to evaluate operations and costs of health care platforms.
- Prepare and organize policy guidelines, public hearing testimonies, presentations, and congressional reports.
- 5+ years’ work relevant experience in the healthcare field.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health or Business-Related Field (Masters Preferred).
- Experienced using Visio.
- Experienced creating and updating clinical workflows.
- Experience in planning, data collection, articles, journals, executive communications, branding services, etc
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of data management systems and analysis tools.
- Detail Oriented.
- Self-motivated.
- Good time management skills.
- Ability to obtain VA Clearance.
- Authorized to work in the US.
- PMP Certification.
- Relevant certifications such as CPHQ, Kirkpatrick or Prosci Certified.
- Process Improvement Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Black-Belt.
