Summary:

You will be part of the team that supports all domestic and export trading activities. The successful candidate is a team focused and detail oriented person with advanced organizational skills who enjoys making sure business is processed properly and efficiently.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include a subset of the following:

· Main point of contact with plants to facilitate all purchases and payments to the plant and related invoices to customers.

· Enter purchase and sales contracts for commodities and futures

· Run position reports

· Process miscellaneous payables and receivables from plants/suppliers/customers

· Process invoices from suppliers for the product purchased into inventory or direct shipped to a customer

· Process freight bills, transload fees, ocean freight and other costs

· Process A/P for payment via ACH/Wire/Check

· Timely invoicing of customers and all related export documentation (if required)

· Keep accurate and organized files in a common shared drive or shared email boxes

· Ensure both internal and external compliance requirements are followed

· Customer Service - Communicate with domestic and/or overseas customers via email to ensure all documents are accurate

· Efficient utilization and maintenance of Excel spreadsheets is a MUST.

· Be curious and provide ideas for continuous process improvement

· Selects appropriately from applicable standards, methods, tools, applications and use. Demonstrates analytical and systematic approach to problem solving. Communicates fluently orally and in writing.

· Is able to plan, schedule and monitor work activities in order to meet time and quality targets



Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; or related education and experience, agriculture/logistics background preferred
  • Export and/or container experience is a plus, but not required
  • Minimum of intermediate working knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience with Agris is a plus, but not required.
  • High level of detail, multi-tasking, and problem solving
  • Positive, self-motivated individual with organization, communication, and negotiation skills; commitment to continuous learning
  • Strong customer service commitment
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical procedures
