Basic Functions:

Under work direction from the Production Team, the Apprentice Carpenter learns standard entry level carpentry methods and techniques. The work is accomplished in an actual on-the-job situation and is supplemented by ongoing support and training.

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Some Carpentry Experience is a plus, but not required
  • Highly Organized
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • High level Communicator

Overall Duties Include:

  • Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients
  • Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding
  • Measure, cut, or shape wood and other materials
  • Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes
  • Help erect, level, and install building framework
  • Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
  • Perform finish work involving light electrical, plumbing, and HVAC

Hours:
  • Typical hours are 7:30-4:30, but can vary depending on workload
Reward:
  • Compensation is evaluated on a yearly basis effective from the start date of employment of each calendar year. An annual reward planner (ARP) is completed at that time.
