Senior Human Resources Generalist

This role is pivotal in supporting various HR functions and initiatives, ensuring our organization remains a top place to work while honoring our rich legacy in the EMS industry. 

As a Senior HR Generalist, you will play a key role in developing strong relationships with our employees, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and leading HR projects that enhance workplace efficiency and employee satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: 

- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Illinois and Federal employment laws. 

- Manage HR sourcing activities to attract top talent and meet organizational staffing needs. 

- Oversee OSHA compliance and workplace safety programs. 

- Handle conflict management and resolution among employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment. 

- Develop strong relationships with employees to support engagement, retention, and a positive company culture. 

-Administer Leave of Absences to include Family Medical Leave (FMLA). 

- Lead HR projects from inception to completion, utilizing project management best practices. 

- Utilize HR Information Systems (HRIS) for data management, reporting, and analysis. 

- Assist in organization design and restructuring efforts to align with business goals. 

- Administer benefits programs and provide expert guidance on benefits administration. 

- Ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations (HIPPA), particularly as they relate to the healthcare industry. 

- Lead the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization. 

- Support various human resources management functions as needed. 

Qualifications: 

- 3-5 years of experience in human resources. 

- Proven expertise in creating policies and procedures, HR sourcing, OSHA compliance, conflict management, project management, HRIS, organization design, benefits administration, and HR management. 

- Strong understanding of Illinois and Federal employment laws and regulations. 

- Knowledge of privacy laws and regulations (HIPPA), especially in the healthcare industry. 

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
