Fluorescent Penetrate Inspector

Howmet Aerospace is now seeking to fill positions for Fluorescent Penetrate Inspectors (FPI) on 3rd Shift
Essential Functions
Perform inspection operations including receiving, final, and all in-process inspections on all part types along with daily calibration checks.
Process material through pre-clean operations, through FPI line, and perform process checks. This may include processing parts through powerwash, ultrasonic clean, FPI line and pre-etch.
Perform inspections of high visual concentration for a period of 2 hours continuously.
Follow operational sheets and maintaining all quality records.
Gage, set-up and run airflow, waterflow and moment weigh.
Pack, unpack and load material, review and replace totes and liners if necessary.
Final inspection of parts to OP sketch requirements.
Perform 6S audits and other area requirements.
Input serial list numbers into heat treat data base.
Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- **1 year **of manufacturing inspection. FPI experience *preferred *but not required.
- Basic understanding of addition, subtraction, multiplication and the division of numbers including decimal and fractions; simple use of formulas, charts tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, writing diagrams, computer scanning devices.
- Basic skills and knowledge using adjustable measuring instruments for checking of reports, forms, records and comparable data; where interpretation is required involving basic skills knowledge.
You should be proficient in:
- Blueprint Reading
- Quality Inspection Experience
Machines & technologies you'll use:
- Calipers and Micrometers
- Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
- Measurement Gauges
Salary info:
$20 - $22 / hr
