A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A CNC MACHINIST APPRENTICE

As a Machinist Apprentice at LeanWerks, you will embark on an exciting journey to master the art and science of precision machining. Under the guidance of experienced machinists and trainers, you will receive hands-on training and develop technical skills that are essential for a successful career in the field.

Key Focus Areas:

Hands-On Training: Work closely with skilled machinists to learn the operation and maintenance of various machining tools and equipment, including lathes and mills.

Blueprint Reading: Study and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications to understand the requirements of each project.

Material Preparation: Select appropriate raw materials, measure and cut them to the required size, and ensure they meet the specified quality standards.

Machine Setup: Assist in setting up machines, including loading tools, inputting machining parameters, and securing workpieces to ensure accurate and efficient operations.

Quality Control: Learn and apply quality control techniques to inspect finished products, ensuring they meet the required tolerances and quality standards.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and best practices at all times, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machining processes, including measurements, adjustments, and any issues encountered during production.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated with advancements in machining technology and techniques, actively participating in training programs and skill development sessions.


Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for precision machining.

Basic understanding of mathematics and blueprint reading is a plus.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude towards skill development.

Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
