Position Summary:

Theragent is seeking an experienced GMP Production Cleaner. Candidate for this role must be knowledgeable on GMP cleaning operational procedures (etc. daily, weekly, and monthly) for cleanroom environments. The incumbent will be responsible to GMP cleaning and Non GMP Janitorial areas as well.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, open communication, desire to learn new skills, and train others to help develop talent and GMP cleaning techniques / best practices. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a flexibility to adapt to startup environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe work environment; work in a safe manner following all safety SOP’s and wear Personal Protective Equipment as required
  • Perform GMP cleaning per SOP and training.
  • Perform Non GMP Janitorial Operation
  • Regular checks of GMP Room status, facility equipment, and instrumentation. Any faults/defects to be reported to Facilities.
  • Provide emergency GMP cleaning support at all sites, as requested.
  • Complete GMP cleaning logs and ensure GDP compliance and completion of GMP cleaning per site SOP.
  • Maintain a high level of cGMP compliance in work and documentation
  • Be flexible with respect to overtime and participate in the maintenance on-call procedure to support facilities 24/7, as required.
  • Proactively support the Corporations, Companies, Departments and Personal goals and objectives
  • Able to work second and third shift, weekend shift support, on call hours and shutdowns, as required
  • Receive and deliver vendor delivered supplies to appropriate locations
  • Ability to check and respond to Equipment Monitoring System and Building Management Systems
  • Participate in the Health and Safety Policy of the Company
  • To liaise on a daily basis with other members the cleaning team, other staff and customers
  • Self-motivated, pays attention to details, and adapt to responsibilities outside of the initial job description

Reports to: Manager, Facilities and Maintenance

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Location: Arcadia, CA

Working Hours: 2nd shift (5:00pm – 1:30am)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Communicate ideas and results clearly and effectively (both verbally and in writing) to the team members.

Education & Professional Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in GMP cleaning / cleanroom environment
  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment

Working Conditions:

  • Laboratory environment- required to work with blood products, tumor cell lines, bacteria, retrovirus, lentivirus, and lab chemicals used in the lab with proper Personal Protective Equipment as required
  • Ability to stand for a period in order to work at laboratory benches
  • Must wear PPE due to safety requirements in designated lab areas
  • May be required to work in controlled or clean room environments
  • Expected to work safely and effectively when working alone or working with others

Travel: Occasional. Less than 3%

Physical / Mental Demands:

  • Must be able to gown-up for cleanroom areas
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull 50 lb. of equipment or supplies
  • Must be able to squat, bend, kneel, climb, and or reach for 75% of a shift
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and/or move about for 75% of a shift
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks including hand to finger manipulations, grasping, pushing, and pulling.

Environmental Conditions:

  • GMP cleanroom and office areas, process areas donning proper gowning / lab coats or PPE such as safety glasses and shoes.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively when working alone or working with others.
