Job Summary: As a Revenue Cycle Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and documenting the workflows and business processes associated with the Revenue Cycle lifecycle to include Payer Enrollment, Charge Capture, Coding, Claims Submission, Payment Processing, Denial Management, Patient Collections. You will apply your expertise in Lean processes and workflow documentation to identify opportunities that may minimize waste, streamline operations, and maximize revenue. This role requires a strong combination of analytical skills, detailed knowledge of revenue cycle management, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed analyses of current revenue cycle processes, document workflows, and identify opportunities for improvement, with a specific focus on billing, denial management and payer enrollment strategies.
  • Prepare clear and concise and narratives to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Cycle and IT leaders to develop and refine tools and systems that support effective revenue cycle management, particularly in billing and payer enrollment.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional project teams to drive process improvements in billing and payer enrollment and ensure successful implementation of initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation for all revenue cycle processes including billing and payer enrollment and create training materials for internal stakeholders.
  • Provide support for other high-priority and time sensitive Revenue Cycle projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in revenue cycle management within a healthcare setting.
  • Expertise in Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to think analytically and critically about complex situations, under how business processes work and identify issues as well as opportunities for improvement.
  • Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data to make informed decisions.

  • Familiarity with revenue cycle management software, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to leverage technology to improve process efficiency.
