Job DescriptionJob Description

Pennant Solutions Group is in search of a Sr Director of Construction in Phoenix, AZ.

RESPONSIBILITIES:Hold dual responsibilities to oversee the daily operations of construction projects and lead a team of 2-3 direct reports. Have experience managing 6-10 projects at any given time. Display data center, mission critical and/or semi-conductor industry experience. Direct both the daily operations and the long-term strategic direction of construction projects across various regions.These projects are typically large, fast-paced, complex, and demand a high level of coordination and proactive leadership.
Provide guidance and leadership on projects including new constructions, remodels, and renovations, ensuring they meet or exceed company standards.
Organize and lead cross-functional work groups, such as design, procurement, operations, IT/Network, and finance, to achieve construction management best practices.
Manage up to 25+ external vendors per project, including General Contractors, A&E design teams, commissioning agents, equipment suppliers, etc.
Develop and enforce company and departmental processes and best management practices within your areas of responsibility.
Ensure effective contract administration by generating, reviewing, managing, and monitoring prime contracts, subcontracts, change orders, cost forecasts, and other relevant documents and documentation. Ensure that internal controls are in place at every process step.
Inspect work in place and in progress to ensure it meets or exceeds quality, specification, and schedule requirements.
Maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external team members, including staff, subcontractors, vendors, architects, and other industry professionals.
Pursue self-growth by seeking out training, professional development, and career advancement opportunities.
Assist in interviewing, hiring, and ensuring effective training and development of new and existing staff.
Provide subject-matter expertise in your areas of responsibility.
Report status, successes, challenges, and action plans to the management team and company in a timely manner.
Develop, manage, and be accountable for the achievement of key departmental goals.
