What you’ll do
The Senior Software Engineer (iOS) reports to the Mobile Engineering Manager and works closely with cross-functional teams including design, product, and backend development to ensure seamless, high-quality product delivery.
In this role, you will drive the design, development, and delivery of world-class native iOS applications.
Your Impact
Design, develop, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C code.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and bring innovative features to life.
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks.
Uphold and propagate best practices in mobile software design, ensuring rigorous code reviews and architectural evaluations.
Engage in architectural discussions and actively contribute to the technical decision-making process.
Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and growth.
Continuously research, evaluate, test, and implement new technologies to optimize application performance and development efficiency.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest iOS trends, technologies, and best practices.
What you bring to the table
Minimum 5 years professional iOS development experience
Proven track record of shipping high-quality iOS applications to the App Store
Proficient in Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C
Experience with iOS frameworks such as UIKit
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect applications to back-end services
Knowledge of modern architectural patterns like MVVM, etc.
Understanding of Apple's design principles and Human Interface Guidelines
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
Bonus points
Experience in Reactive Programming (RxSwift/Combine)
Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Animation, Core Data, Core Graphics, etc.
Experience with performance and memory tuning-using tools
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
Familiarity with continuous integration (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Xcode Server)
Experience with travel domain a plus
Location
This role is remote and can be located anywhere inside the continental United States. iSeatz is a New Orleans-based company with Central Time Zone business hours, but feel free to work from your home office, from the beach, or from the cottage you rented for the summer
