Metal Polisher

Qualified Staffing is hiring for a global supplier of process engineering and equipment. They sell mixers, tanks, and control systems worldwide in over 60 countries.


As a Metal Polisher you would fill an essential role on our team. The Metal Polisher is a full-time, non-exempt, entry-level position with an hourly wage beginning at $20.00 per hour.

Shift:

1st shift- 6:30AM-3:00 PM plus OT

Pay:

$20.00 per hour


DUTIES
•Handle and prepare parts for performing polishing operations with machine polishers and hand tools.

•Operate polishing equipment such as hand files, grinders, disks, rotary sanders, and abrasive wheels.

•Remove bumps or indentations in the metal parts without stretching or cutting through the finished piece with care to maintain contours, edges, and dimensions.

•Locate and gather materials and supplies needed, check material for correctness and quality.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
•Able to work in repetitive movements, requiring good dexterity and hand- eye coordination.

•Must be able to stand, and bend for 8 hours per day and lift at least 50 pounds within a non-temperature-controlled environment.

•Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including Respirator when working.

•Experience using hand and power tools.

•Willing to work overtime.

•Background in sheet metal, a plus.
