Key Responsibilities:

• •This position is responsible for performing basic to comprehensive welding repairs and new fabrications while learning and developing technical skills
• Performs basic and comprehensive repair welds on equipment and components•Performs basic and comprehensive arc welding, air arc, gas welding, and cutting
• Fabricates new components from shop drawings and/or blueprints
• Works as a member of a team to provide basic technical services that satisfy customer needs and achieve departmental goals•Works overtime as required by workload and customers’ needs
• Prepares service reports and any other necessary paperwork
• Examines workpieces for defects to ensure conformance with specifications
• Maintains all company equipment, tools, and work areas in a good, clean, and working order
• Performs tasks under minimal supervision
• Provides assistance to other Welders
• Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
• Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
• Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields.
• Familiarity with welding tools and procedures.
• Excellent work habits, accuracy, attention to detail, and quality of work.
• Can lift at least 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug testing and welding test.

Work Location:

• Hourly position based in Converse, TX.
