Role and Responsibilities
Production Supervisor for our Grand Island, NE facility will cover the build out of the products as well as the teardown function assist in ensuring tear down of product in a timely and efficient manner to minimize production down time and on-time deliveries to our customers. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for safety, and quality product. In-depth training may be required to prepare for their daily duties. The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversight and auditing of procedures for the teardown facility.
    • Confirmation of usage of reporting and teardown procedures are properly followed.
    • Controls of the inbound / outbound interaction for the teardown procedures.
    • Review and fixing of any issues and challenges that may arise.
  • Oversight of the bowl / pump build area of the facility.
    • This covers the PUMP part of the project, NOT the bedplate / ancillary equipment tied to it.
    • Review of organizational efforts to ensure efficient movement of the products through the bowl builder’s function.
  • Ensuring all duties are carried out in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Performing other duties that may be assigned by the Production Manager and/or the Plant Manager.
  • Determining root cause analysis when production comes to a stop.
  • Backfill to ensure production continues to move forward when staffing issues arise.
  • Communicates with Inventory / Material Handling to determine priority.
  • Coordinate priorities and procedures for production.
  • Quality on time deliverers to customers.
  • Safety Coordinator - Scheduling safety monthly meetings and documenting attendance.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be willing to learn and improve to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • High School diploma or GED required. Adequate work experience may be substituted in lieu of a diploma or GED.
  • Willingness to follow written or oral work instructions from the Production Manager and/or the Plant Manager.
  • Experience working in manufacturing.

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to measure utilizing a tape measure, follow written instructions and document process for customer.
  • Ability to work well with others, be organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Experience with leading people.

  • Satisfactory pre-employment drug testing is required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • After 30 days of employment, employees are eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Sick pay and vacation accruals begin after the first day of employment.
  • Vacation and sick pay accruals can be used, once eligible.
