Job Title: Proposal Writer

Location: Las Vegas, NV (Remote)

Duration: Fulltime

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working with corporate leadership or other content "owners" to understand messaging and win-themes.
  • Becoming thoroughly familiar with the work our organization performs through scope research, interviews, and review of project documents and deliverables.
  • Creating visually appealing proposal responses and content that direct the reader to informative and persuasive key points throughout the document.
  • Developing skeleton proposal outlines and fully developed responses.
  • Interviewing in-house Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Project Managers (PM).
  • Capturing data from PMs and other sources to generate relevant and valid facts, statistics, and proof-points for proposals.
  • Finding key points, quotes, or facts and generate call-out boxes to highlight accomplishments.
  • Reviewing and analyzing solicitation (RFP, RFI, RFQ, etc.) documentation as part of the opportunity analysis and proposal development process.
  • Contributing to our mission of providing customized, accurate, real-time capture intelligence, uniquely available with SRE.
  • Supporting various proposal development activities, such as resume formatting, compliance reviews, and coordination with teaming partners.
  • Maintaining and continually enhancing SRE's pipeline/proposal management platform, collaborating with stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities for improvement and performing the necessary modifications to make new capabilities available to end-users.
  • Supporting various inter-departmental projects and initiatives as an extension of proposal writing and submitting.

Required Skills:

  • 5-10 years of professional proposal writing experience
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • US Citizenship is required as the candidate must be clearable.
  • Knowledge of research techniques used in collecting, tabulating, evaluating, and presenting data.
  • Knowledge of procedures and techniques used in interviewing subject matter experts.
  • Knowledge of word processing, database, spreadsheet, and graphic computer software applications.
  • Skill in, and advanced expertise, with Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and SharePoint.
  • Skill in creating and improving processes.
  • Skill in business acumen.
  • Skill in proposal writing and presenting.
  • Skills in defining problems, conducting research, collecting data, establishing facts, drawing valid conclusions, and formulating recommendations.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Ability to be well-organized and self-directed.
  • Ability to logically organize a document based on proposal response guidelines and readability.
  • Ability to write in strong, active, and persuasive language without the use of "fluff" words and language.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and processes using graphics and figures.
  • Ability to conduct phone calls with high-ranking government personnel.
  • Ability to review and analyze solicitation (RFP, RFI, RFQ, etc.) documentation.
  • Ability to apply and demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to provide guidance and accurate information.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations, special studies, and project reports.
  • Ability to maintain a harmonious and effective working relationship with SRE employees and federal contracting industry staff.
  • Ability to develop and execute a work plan for business development and capture operations and projects, including establishing and/or recommending goals and objectives.
  • Ability to work well with groups and executive-level decision-makers within the federal contracting industry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally, including making presentations to C-level executives.
  • Ability to uphold high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.
