Position Summary: We are looking for a person with attention to detail, who enjoys working with other people and communicates effectively to all age groups. American Fork Internal Medicine provides outstanding care because of our excellent employees. If you want to join a busy practice, and feel satisfaction by helping patients, we want you to join our team Candidates should have prior medical experience, be familiar with technology and be comfortable with change. We will provide the necessary training and tools to be a successful team member.
Essential Job Functions: Begin patient notes prior to their office visit. Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary technology. ' Maintain patient records and other information as requested by the physician. Record office visits via electronic templates on behalf of the physician. Responsible for ensuring thoroughness of medical documentation. Provide courteous and friendly service to all patients and contribute to a positive work environment. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Must be a Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Phlebotomist, or Advanced EMT. Must have CPR certification (or willing to complete within 4 months of hiring). Working knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to bend, reach, lift, pull, push and/or carry up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally is required. Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time. Ability to type 60-80 words per minute. Demonstrate excellent computer, telephone and communication skills. Outstanding customer service, organization and attention to detail. Must be a self-starter, a team player, dependable, friendly and professional and be able to multi-task and work efficiently while remaining calm and productive. Previous medical experience preferred but not required.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8-5 Must be available to work Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
Additional Notes: This is a temporary full time position. After January 2025 this position will go down to a part time position with the option to serve as a float for other locations.
