JOB OVERVIEW / WHAT A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT LOOK LIKE:

We are looking for a Manager, Power Platform to join our team and help City Harvest maximize the value we get from the Microsoft Power Platform. Power Apps and automations built into Microsoft Dynamics 365 are critical to managing interactions with thousands of food donors, food pantries, soup kitchens, and other partners we work with to feed as many hungry New Yorkers as possible. You will be responsible for our applications and workflows end-to-end, including researching user needs, automating workflows, and plugging in point solutions from Microsoft and 3rd party software and data integration providers.

  • Provide leadership at City Harvest for maximizing the impact of Microsoft Power Platform capabilities.
  • Define business needs and system requirements through frequent conversations with business stakeholders, end-user representatives, and technologists.
  • Implement new Power Apps capabilities, including integration of 3rd party plug-ins and APIs.
  • Work with other technologists at City Harvest to ensure seamless integration of Power Platform with other applications.
  • Perform functional, integration, user acceptance, operation readiness, and system testing for our Power Platform.
  • Lead user adoption and training, change management, and ongoing support.
  • Define KPIs to measure how well City Harvest is performing against its targets for customer relationship management, supply chain efficiency, and other strategic goals.

WHAT YOUR BACKGOUND SHOULD LOOK LIKE:

  • 3+ years of experience as a subject matter expert for Power Platform solutions.
  • Demonstrated end-to-end experience launching new capabilities using model-driven Power Apps and Power Automate workflows.
  • Success in collaborating with business teams of 50+ end users to maximize the impact of tech investments.
  • Attention to detail is a must – this role requires thinking about how hundreds of data points across multiple internal and client-facing systems support our operations.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics GP or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI.
  • Experience modernizing legacy implementations and managing tech debt.
  • Experience with products oriented toward non-profits, such as Raiser’s Edge and volunteer management tools.
  • Prior experience with transportation, logistics, or warehouse management products.
  • College degree preferred
  • Power Platform certification preferred.
