Job title: Strength and Conditioning Specialist

Duties:

  • Provide a variety of training and wellness services focused on client rehabilitation. The Contractor will triage clients, developing improvement plans; however, will refer to the 42 MDG Physical Therapy clinic for health concerns requiring elevated attention for rehabilitation.
  • Plan and prepare written training programs based on an evaluation of the client. Provide clear, concise analyses of prevention and rehabilitation results through direct observations, interviews, surveys, and focused collection of athletic training performance metrics.
  • Administer manual exercises to improve and maintain function. Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on injury prevention and reconditioning techniques.
  • Perform prevention and wellness activities, education, screening and promote positive health behaviors.
  • Instruct, motivate, and assist members in performing various physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, daily living activities, and in use of assistive and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, etc.

Education/ Qualification:

  • Have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F).
  • Must have 3-4 years professional experience as a Strength and Conditioning Coach, in the last 6 years.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (CPR, or cardiopulmonary training). Required every 2 years for all personnel, including contract personnel.
