The People Generalist will lead through the employment lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, and compliance to develop strategies focused on a high-performance and engaged workforce. In addition, this role will provide direct support to ensure the consistent application of processes related to training, coaching and development, and performance management to drive our commitment to a culture of excellence and ensure that candidates and team members have the best possible experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Support recruitment initiatives, conduct interviews, and coordinate all onboarding experiences. Ensure pre-employment procedures and screenings are completed for new hires to complete coordination of first day and welcome orientation.
  • Provide support related to all requests for accommodations and leaves of absence. Overall understanding and ability to track FMLA, PFL, and other state and company leaves.
  • Drive employee engagement activities by working closely with people managers and employees to enhance work relationships, build morale, and increase retention.
  • Understand, clarify, and recommend policies and procedures to support the employee experience while maintaining compliance.
  • Act as the point of contact for employees on recruitment, benefits, training, and other people and culture related areas to answer and/or address inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Ensure data accuracy in HRIS to meet all compliance requirements.
  • Track annual and role related training requirements and ensure compliance.
  • Stay current with federal and state regulations and inform leadership of appropriate changes required in advance.
  • Make suggestions to enhance workflows and/or processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent direct human resources work experience).
  • General knowledge of employment law and compliance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of working well with others.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
