Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic (A&P) - Helicopter position at Recruitnrefer is an exciting opportunity for experienced mechanics to join our aviation maintenance team. As an A&P Mechanic specializing in helicopters, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing helicopter airframes, powerplants, and associated systems to ensure safe and reliable helicopter operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on helicopter airframes, powerplants, and other systems.
- Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on helicopter structures, rotor systems, engine components, and electrical and avionics systems.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime for helicopters.
- Perform routine tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and component inspections.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with relevant regulations, manufacturer's specifications, and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance records, including work performed, parts used, and inspections conducted.
- Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in helicopter maintenance.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and practices at all times, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements:
- Hold a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic certificate.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as an A&P Mechanic on helicopters.
- Strong knowledge of helicopter airframes, powerplants, rotor systems, and associated electrical and avionics systems.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues in helicopters.
- Experience performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on helicopters, following manufacturer's guidelines and approved maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with applicable FAA regulations and ability to ensure compliance with all rules and requirements.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive maintenance records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other stakeholders.
- Commitment to safety and knowledge of safety guidelines and practices in helicopter maintenance.
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, ensuring timely completion of maintenance tasks and safe helicopter operations.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
