Dog Daycare/Boarding Kennel Technician Specialist

The Care Specialist must be comfortable with bathing, feeding, and exercising dogs, as well as cleaning up after them.

Kennel Technicians must also be able to effectively communicate with their team and accurately communicate about the dog's health in our care. 

Are you a hardworking responsible dog lover? We are looking for an individual who can present a positive and helpful attitude to our team. Our Kennel Technician (Canine Care Specialist) will be responsible for the care of client dogs and must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment and pay close attention to detail.

$11 hourly + based on experience

• Treats dogs in our care as if they were their own
• Maintains a clean and sanitary bunkhouse for our boarding dogs
• Enforce safety regulations when working with dogs (e.g., dogs must be leashed)
• Conduct safe and enriching playtime with the dogs in our care
• Bathing dogs and trimming nails
• Oversees overall canine health and communicates concerns with leadership
• Provide basic medical care to dogs (e.g., administer medications)
• Properly and accurately feed dogs

Maturity and Responsibility

• Time management and self-motivated
• Hard-working and reliable
• Cleaning ability and attention to detail
• Record keeping and consistent accountability
• Handling dogs (leashing and walking dogs of all sizes)
• Ability to think independently and also work as a team
• Ability to lift 50lbs

Preferred: 

• 1 year in a professional dog care facility
• Open availability
