  • Lead the design and development of camera and video systems and related electronic components, including image sensors, image processors, memory and physical layer and interfaces
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, mechanical engineers, and product managers, to define camera system's requirements and specifications
  • Perform detailed circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout for camera subsystems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Research emerging camera technologies and trends
  • Develop and execute test plans to verify system performance, image quality, and reliability
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues during development, and production
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers
  • Collaborate with external suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the timely and cost-effective production of camera systems, while maintaining quality standards
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in camera technology, industry standards, and best practices, actively contributing to the innovation and improvement of our products

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. Advanced degrees are preferred
  • 4-8 years demonstrable experience as hands on development engineer with a specialization in camera technology, preferably in a senior or lead role
  • Strong knowledge of video recording systems, digital camera systems, image sensors, and related components preferred
  • Experience with design or testing for aerospace systems to military or spaceflight standards preferred
  • Fluency in concept design, circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence)
  • Experience with high-speed interfaces such as MIPI, SLVS, USB, Ethernet, and HDMI
  • Familiarity with image signal processing techniques and algorithms, including noise reduction, color correction, and image enhancement
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and debug high speed, and complex electronic systems, utilizing tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers
  • Solid understanding of embedded systems, firmware development, and software-hardware integration
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • A track record of successfully delivering camera-related projects to market, on time, and within budget
