We are seeking a(an) Histology Technician for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Come join an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition.

Job Summary include but not limited to:

Prepares and processes specimens for gross and microscopic examination and diagnosis by a pathologist

Assists in the preparation of frozen sections of surgical specimens for microscopic examination by a pathologist

Performs histology and cytology procedures including specimen processing/fixation, cell block preparation, embedding, microtomy, slide preparation, routine and special stains, case organization in accordance with department procedures

Requirements

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Associate's Degree in Histology, Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, Biology or Chemistry preferred

EXPERIENCE:

• 1 year experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred
