DESCRIPTION:
The Quality Assurance / Performance Improvement Coordinator / Infection Control Nurse RN is responsible for the coordination of performance process improvement initiatives. Conducts audits, chart reviews, and monitors performance of Hospital and contracted vendors related to QAPI monitors. Develops performance indicators, analyzes trends and acts as a consultant to teams. Provides analytical, educational, and coordinating support to the Quality Improvement Program. Monitors hospital to reduce the risk of nosocomial infections. Develops an effective system for reporting, evaluating and maintaining records of illnesses and injuries to patients. Develops and executes an in-service program for promoting QAPI/Infection Control. Responsible for implementing an internal grievance process and procedure as required by Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (42 U.S.C. 18116).
