Today we are hiring a Risk Management Director for our client in Las Vegas, NV.

Located in the heart of Las Vegas, this Medical Center is an acute care and teaching hospital that has provided high quality healthcare to residents of Southern Nevada since 1972. The hospital offers a comprehensive range of services, including advanced cardiology, neurology, surgery and more.

The Director of Risk Management is responsible for the ongoing, effective operation of various patient safety and risk management activities. Such responsibilities include but are not limited to: performance and oversight of the claim management functions including investigation and analysis, performance of risk assessments including new services, performance of root cause analysis for the system including action plan tracking and facilitation, and management of the Patient Safety Council with incorporation of the corporate TERM program into the overall risk management program. Works collaboratively with department directors and the executive team to implement Corporate and Facility risk reduction strategies. Provides expertise to regulatory and compliance standards and processes. Position entails data analysis, reporting, educating, providing leadership and being accountable for related activities.

Skills and Certifications [note: bold skills and certification are required]
Bachelor's degree or Master Degree from an accredited College or University in related Healthcare field required
Two (2) to Five (5) years Risk Management experience on your resume skill sets
Current RN license in state of Nevada if Registered Nurse or a healthcare related field

Compensation

Base Salary - USD $99,507 to $131,851

Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function

Thorough knowledge of hospital policies and procedures. Application of techniques such as RCA, FMEA and other quality tools.

Must possess a detailed, in-depth knowledge of the principles of regulations, and standards to meet hospital, licensing, and accreditation.

Knowledgeable regarding Joint Commission Standards and CMS/DHS Regulations.

Understanding of statistical analysis. Six Sigma ("Lean") knowledge preferred.
