Overview:

You'll be a Down-Tower and/or Up-Tower Assistant Repair Technician for Wind Turbine Blades. This involves fiberglass repair at-height on wind-turbines across the country. You'll be operating out of a wire-suspended platform to help grind off bad fiberglass and install good fiberglass. For this work, you'll be wearing a hazardous-materials suit virtually all day and a respirator most of the day. This position pays well, and includes per-diem for travel expenses. This is a full-time traveling job, so you'll be away from home 100% of the time that you're earning money.

What to Understand About this Position:

We have a strict, "no-consideration" policy for "previous experience". Instead, you'll be THOROUGHLY EVALUATED in a training facility prior to being onboarded or given a wage rate. Thus, don't apply if:

- If you don't respond well to constructive criticism and feedback.

- If you don't admit to mistakes.

Onboarding Process:

- You'll be given an interview and verbal evaluation, if you pass that,

- You'll be flown out to our training facility to conduct a thorough knowledge and skills eval. Then:

- You'll either be offered a job with a wage rate commensurate with you skills or you'll be sent home, without compensation.

- Next, you'll be given training to learn our work standards which will likely be different than what you've done previously.

- Then you'll be sent to a site where you will participate as an engaged member of a 3-man repair team.

 

Certifications/Experience Greatly Desired:

OSHA 10

GWO BST (All 4 Courses)

Wind-Turbine Technician Experience

Experience working with hand tools
