Sidekicks Stay & Play Pet Care Stewards are responsible for the day-to-day care and enrichment of our pet guests, clients, and facility. Day-to-day responsibilities include feeding and administering medications, providing upwards of 25 pets with exercise 3-5 times daily, creating and monitoring enrichment group-play groups and activities, bathing and cleaning pets, monitoring pet health and behavior, answering phone calls as overflow for our concierge team, and keeping our facility and pet suites clean.
We utilize progressive technology to keep track of reservations, pet health, and client communications.
General Schedule:
30-35 Hours Per Week
Floating Schedule - must have open availability
Rotating Holidays
Requirements:- Excellent Interpersonal Skills: While this is a job with working with pets, caring for people is the heart of our business.
- Strength & Endurance: You will spend significant time walking, lifting, and playing with dogs both outside and indoors. Walking upwards of 5 miles in an eight-hour shift is not unusual.
- Adaptability & Critical Thinking
- Lifting up to 50lbs unassisted (and 100lbs with assistance)
- Previous experience preferred but not required
Flexible Schedule: You must have open availability - meaning you can work anytime during our pet care hours (Monday-Sunday 5:00 am-9:00 pm).Schedules are generally 6-8 hour shifts and average 30-35hours per week and are provided six weeks in advance.
**NOTE: We are a seasonal business; this means in the cold season, we will have a significant reduction in occupancy, and in the summer, we have a considerable increase in occupancy.**
