We are opening our 2nd US Ambassade location in Boston, MA on Newbury Street in May of 2024. 

Role: Spa - Hair Stylist (Boston, MA)
The right candidate is someone who is comfortable in a high end luxury environment and for whom client service is a priority; a beauty service professional who specializes in the fashioning and treatment of hair. Hair stylist responsibilities include washing hair, expertly executing a variety of hair styles, offering hair care and hair styling consultations and recommending hair styling products. This role is for someone who loves beauty and stays on top of the latest trends, while skillfully recommending what would better suit each client. This position reports and supports the Boutique & Spa Manager.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Consulting with clients on stylistic options for their hair.
• Listening to clients' needs to determine their preferences.
• Describing different hair care products and their benefits and providing scalp and hair treatments.
• Expertise in utilizing hot irons, curlers and blow-dryers.
• Shampooing & performing scalp treatments.
• Promoting and recommending hair care retail products as well as other Spa amenities and products.
• Building a personal relationship with clients to ensure return visits.
• Adhering to salon safety and cleanliness standards.
• Managing bookings and welcoming clients into the spa.
• Staying updated on hairstyle trends and styling methods.

Who you are:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as time management skills
• Social perceptiveness and situational awareness, especially in a luxury environment
• Professional manner, discretion, and appearance
• Licensing from a cosmetology school
• Creative mindset and a good eye for design
• 5+ years as a hair stylist
• Sales experience in a retail environment is a huge plus
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• CPR/First Aid Certified is a huge plus
