Job DescriptionJob Description

Eclectic Sun LLC, located at 238 Buckeye Drive in Salem, SC, is looking for a Delivery/Pontoon Rental Boat Attendant to finish out this season and join our team for next season. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and hard-working.

Daily Activities for Pontoon Boats:

  • Arrive to work on time and begin preparing the Boats.
  • Uncover the boat, clean, and wipe down the seats.
  • Greet our guests and verify that their Driver’s License matches the name on the reservation.
  •  Have the guests fill out the appropriate paperwork.
  • Ensure all Life Jackets fit properly and are on board [children under 12 must always wear a life vest].
  • Go over the pre-launch checklist.
  • Walk around the boat and show previous damage.
  • Go over all boat functions and controls.
  • Explain the map and the do’s and don’ts of the lake.
  • Answer any questions the guest may have and provide suggestions as needed.
  • Load guests’ personal belongings onto the boat
  • Launch the boat (using our company truck) 
  • Meet the guests back at the dock with the trailer when the rental is over.
  • Inspect the boat to ensure there is no damage or missing equipment.
  • Refuel the gas tank at the Lake Shop
  • Trailer the boat to the house, disconnect and put the cover on

 

Depending on demand, this person may also assist at the Kayak stand.


Qualifications:

  • Must have boating experience (Driving & Trailering) boats
  • Must have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Friendly attitude even when dealing with disgruntled colleagues and clientele
  • Highly adaptable to various situations and customer needs
  • You must be able to work Monday through Friday. Hours may vary, but we are open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. We will end our season in November.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
  • Must be at least 25 years old
  • Must be able to lift 45 pounds over your head.
