Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field - Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Criminal Justice, Recreational Therapy, Human Development and Family Studies, Counseling, Child Development, Gerontology, Sociology, Human Services, Behavioral Science, and Rehabilitation Counseling.
  • OR High School Degree with 3 plus years working in the Mental Health field
  • Preferred - Prior Supervisory or Team Leader Experiences

The Program

Ridgeway is a ten bed, all female, Intensive Residential Treatment Service (IRTS) that provides a high level of direct service and supports for individuals living with chronic mental health diagnoses (i.e., anxiety, bi-polar, depression, personality disorders, etc.) that often involve severe behavioral and emotional issues resulting in guardianship.

Due to the program's population, and being an all female facility, it is a Bona Fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ) that only female employees are allowed to work within the Ridgeway Program.

The Job

As a Ridgeway Behavioral Health Tech Coordinator you will be responsible for the clients’ safety and physical plant facilities; responsible for the day-to-day operations at the appropriate IRTS Facility.

Essential Functions

1. Implement compliance with all licensure rules and regulations, which includes timeliness of documentation.

2. Oversee fire, safety, health, and sanitation procedures.

3. Oversee the general operation and daily routine of facility including routine purchasing and operational budget control in accordance with all licensing regulations and generally accepted standards of practice.

4. Provide agency orientation to new Behavioral Health Tech.

5. Participate in treatment team and residential meetings, working collaboratively with the clinical manager.

6. Provide training of all supervised employees.

7. Coordinate the hiring of new staff through working with HR on needs, screening possible applicants, interviewing and any follow ups needed.

8. Coordinate with Residential Nurse or Nursing Supervisor regarding medication related situations.

9. Responsible for BHTs - scheduling, timecard activity, ETO approval and any corrective action required on BHTs. Responsible for being on call and covering any vacant shifts.

10. Completing all ordering of groceries and supplies.

11. Collect, review, and sign off on Observation logs daily.

12. Complete a review of camera footage weekly, for a random review of each staff’s documented logged time on the daily observation sheets.

13. Responsible for financial functions of the homes, which includes collecting room and board.

14. Be available after hours or ensure coverage for facility related emergencies.

15. Assist with discharge/transition planning as residents leave the program.

16. Document according to clinical policies and procedures, DMH, CARF, and any other federal or state program per agency standards.

17. Supervise and direct supervisees in the performance of their job functions.

18. Proactively provide feedback and training to supervisees to assist them with meeting performance expectations.

19. Hold direct supervisees accountable for the satisfactory performance of their job functions, including issuing corrective discipline and make recommendations for termination, when warranted.

20. Responsible for transporting clients in agency and/or personal vehicle as deemed necessary and appropriate to meet program requirements.
