POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Associate Engineer I will perform design and analysis of structures that are particular to the telecom industries. The design and analysis includes existing and proposed installations located on towers and existing buildings. The Associate Engineer I is expected to operate as a part of a team, reporting directly to a Sr. Structural Engineer. The Associate Engineer I is required to determine the structural adequacy of various installations and communicate this with their team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Field Assignments/Procedures:

· Responsible for all aspects of the site design process including structural analyses.

· Communicate project requirements and project progress to the Engineering Manager.

· Prepare detailed structural analyses documenting the structural capacity of existing structures.

· Attend site visits and perform structural mappings.

· Review of construction drawing (CDs)

COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

· BS in Civil engineering, Structural focus preferred.

· 0-2 years’ experience in Engineering.

· Prefer existing or plans to obtain EIT Registration, via NCEES FE Exam

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office

· Ability to manage multiple projects with changing priorities.

· Possess problem solving and organizational skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

· Valid Driver’s License.

Organized – Can conduct multiple activities at once and stay on track while managing resources, maintaining files, and

being able to speak to activities.

Problem Solving – Able to use different analysis methods and brainstorming to determine logical solutions.

Process Management – Understands the best applicable processes/practices to achieve timely and efficient results.

Timely Decision Making – Able to decide under pressure or without all the information if needed.

Measuring Performance– Assigns roles/responsibilities to employees then follows up on progress and results.
