  1. OBJECTIVE (POSITION SUMMARY)

The driver position performs a variety of routine and complex transportation work in driving and coordinating transportation plans in support ot the station. Local Deliveries and pickups in the Greater Seattle Area in a 16 or 26 ft Box Truck. No special Driver’s license needed. Delivery to residential and commercial addresses. Job duties may be added or taken away due to operational / business needs and requirements.

  1. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:

In this position, the Driver is responsible for:

  • Deliver product from warehouse to customer in a safe and timely manner
  • Stack, palletize, move, and organize product
  • Verify product against delivery receipt and pickup receipts
  • Promotes and maintains a flexible, cooperative, team-oriented & customer-focused attitude with co-workers & other departments
  • Operate company-owned and leased truck to facilitate shipping and receiving operations
  • Operate truck for delivery and pickup of goods
  • Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations
  • May plan route to insure most economical use of time and equipment
  • Maintain and protect all property in excellent condition
  • Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures
  • Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles
  • Report delays, accidents or other traffic and transportation situations
  • Other duties and assignments as required.
  1. QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
  • 21+ Years of age
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License
  • Must be able to pass DOT Medical Physical
  • Demonstrated ability to lift/push/pull 60lbs throughout shift
  • Safely operate powered industrial equipment such as forklift
  • Applicant should have the ability to read and understand English
  • Satisfactory driving record

*Position is contingent upon a successful background check, an acceptable motor vehicle records check.*
