As a Grain Merchandiser, you will play a pivotal role in leading and shaping our client's Grain Origination and Merchandising efforts. Building upon your experience and proven track record in grain merchandising, you will be responsible for strategic decision-making and managing farmer and commercial relationships.


Responsibilities


  • Lead the development and management of relationships with producers and commercial accounts, leveraging your expertise to foster long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships within the assigned trade territory
  • Proactively engage with existing and prospective customers at a high level, providing advanced marketing insights and solutions that align with business objectives
  • Spearhead customer recruitment initiatives within the trade territory, strategically expanding market share and solidifying the companys position regionally
  • Oversee the execution of customer contracts for both delivered and FOB purchases, ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction
  • Lead and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the company's grain hedging and risk management processes, actively managing the companys risk positions

Requirements


  • Bachelors Degree in Agriculture Business or related field
  • Experience in an Origination or Merchandising/Trading role
  • In-depth working knowledge of grain movements, basis patterns, pricing, supply & demand, and risk management strategies
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing advanced grain marketing tools, pricing strategies, and contracts
