VPK Teacher

Must have effective communication/ interpersonal skills, be aware of your surroundings, have a strong sense of urgency and be able to multiple tasks.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assisting Teacher with executing curriculum and developmentally appropriate practices in classroom.
• Read, understand and follow all FLDOE licensing standards
• Ensuring licensing standards are met and assisting in the accreditation process for the center.
• Establish and maintain professional and positive communication with the parent(s)/guardian(s).
• Contribute to the overall goodwill of the school as it relates to family relations.
• Respect the sensitive nature of working with children and their families and maintain confidentiality.
• Attend and participate in school trainings, meetings, and events.
• Assist with special events and projects and fieldtrips for the overall welfare of the children.
• Assist in the classroom and report any concerns to the Program Director.
• Assist with mealtime activities with the small group assigned, you must sit and eat with the children.
• Assist with equipment inventory.
• Responsible for the welfare, safety and health of children.
• Responsible for the daily cleanliness and sanitary condition of assigned classroom.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

In order to be considered for this position, you must have your CDA and at least 2 years experience working in a childcare setting.

• High school or equivalent (Required)
• CPR Certification (Required)
• Child Development Associate Certification (Required)

Salary: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
