Millwright / Welder / Multi-Crafted Journeyman

Shamrock Services, LLC, a leading provider of machinery maintenance and repair services, is seeking skilled multi-crafted journeymen to join our team. We are seeking skilled individuals from various trades: millwrights, fitters, fabricators, carpenters, and welders.

Multi-crafted hands preferred but will entertain single crafted applicants.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in welding, carpentry, fabrication, and precision measurement, and will be able to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts.
• Install and assemble machinery based on specifications and blueprints.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical problems with machinery, including worn and broken parts.
• Fabricate and repair metal parts using welding equipment and hand tools.
• Use precision tools, including micrometers and calipers, to ensure accurate measurements.
• Drive and operate heavy equipment, including forklifts and cranes, to move machinery and materials.
• Follow safety guidelines and comply with regulations when operating machinery and handling hazardous materials.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Journeyman / Construction hand.
• Expertise in welding is beneficial but not required.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools, including drills, grinders, and saws.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to travel. Note that most jobs require crews to be gone Monday through Friday.
