Job DescriptionJob Description

Program Description: This is a contract to provide design and engineering services needed to implement structured network cabling installations/upgrades to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Finance and Facilities Division (FFD) Technology Deployment Unit (TDU).

Responsibilities:

  • Shall meet with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items. Shall ensure strict conformance to/with program task schedules and prices.
  • Shall lead the effort to secure and protect all government information and ensure the IDP meets all the RFQ requirements.
  • Shall participate in all phases of installation design plan with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases.
  • As directed by the Government, contractor is responsible for attending technical meetings during the requirement gathering phases and at key milestone dates during network cabling installation with key stakeholders in FBI technical programs on a per project basis.
  • As directed by the Government, contractor will conduct periodic inspections of cabling installation progress at specific locations and provide reports report to the Government point of contact as identified by COR or their designated representative.
  • As directed by the Government, contractor is responsible for attending technical meetings during the requirement gathering phases and at key milestone dates during VTC installation with key stakeholders in FBI technical programs on a per-project basis.

Requirements

Years of Experience: 7+ years of experience

Required Skills:

  • Shall be located at the contractor facility with key personnel on a full-time basis unless directed to attend meetings at FBIHQ or travel for project management purposes by the COR
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance transferable to the FBI
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience
  • Building Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI) Certified Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), focusing on structured network cabling designs.
  • Shall have a minimum of five (5) years of documented CAD experience
  • CAD certified
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products. Proficient in tracking and reporting project costs and schedules
  • Domain and expert technical knowledge of structured network cabling design and installation practices
  • Possess experience with interacting and involvement with client negotiations and interfacing with senior management. Decision-making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation
