Contract Rotating Equipment Specialist

Burrow Global is seeking an experienced Rotating Equipment Specialist to join our team for a 6-month contract assignment. The successful candidates will have a strong background in rotating equipment and will play a crucial role in a project covering approximately 1,000 pieces of rotating equipment. This project aims to ensure compliance with the client organization’s requirements and enhance the operational efficiency of their facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review existing rotating equipment equipment files (both electronic and paper) to identify Process Safety Information (PSI) in compliance with the organization’s requirements.
- Conduct field verification of equipment as needed to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and other external resources to obtain any missing PSI documentation.
- Compile information from various sources to create detailed specification sheets that align with the required company standards.
- Analyze and review the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and other records for historical maintenance data related to the equipment.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience in Rotating equipment.
Strong understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements and Process Safety Information (PSI).
Active TWIC Card
Proficient in reading Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and plot plans.
Technical drawing knowledge, including but not limited to:
Experience with Pump and compressor curves
Experience with rotating equipment specification sheets
Experience reading and reviewing Equipment drawings
Previous experience in a petrochemical or refinery environment with demonstrating familiarity with operational equipment and safety standards.
