Job Summary:


We are seeking a reliable and experienced Local Delivery/Pickup Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to and from specified locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This position requires a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift and move heavy items.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivery and Pickup:

  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to and from designated locations.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring they are securely packed and protected during transit.
  • Verify delivery information and obtain necessary signatures and documentation from customers.
Customer Service:

  • Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent service and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor while representing the company
Vehicle Maintenance:

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the delivery vehicle, including checking oil, fuel, tires, and other essential components.
  • Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Compliance:

  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while driving.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including mileage and fuel usage.
Other Duties:

  • Assist with shop or other duties as needed when delivery responsibilities are completed.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle and related equipment.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
  • Ability to lift, move, and carry heavy items (up to [insert weight limit, e.g., 50 lbs]).
  • Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read maps and use GPS devices.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
Working Conditions:


  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Exposure to various weather conditions while driving.
  • Physical demands include lifting, bending, and prolonged periods of sitting.
