Job Summary

The purpose of this role is to perform routine building maintenance, general cleaning, grounds keeping, and miscellaneous duties. This role will also participate in various shipping, receiving and picking processes.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• • Perform routine building maintenance (changing light bulbs, painting, etc.)
  • Perform general cleaning duties (floor scrubbing in warehouse, mopping, dusting, etc.)
  • Empty trash bins
  • Operate lawn mowers and snow removal equipment on seasonal basis
  • Responsible for the filling and safe storage of C02 cylinders, including making any necessary adjustments to valves and gauges and maintaining labeling.
  • Will function in a relief role to the evening Shipping and Receiving Clerk
  • Receive and unload product from transports by use of a forklift
  • Store product and follow established rotation procedures
  • Replenish product on pallets and rollers in pick locations which includes forking down product
  • Receive, unload, consolidate and re-stock returned product and shells
  • Load transports for delivery to customer accounts
  • Manage and build pick ticket orders as needed
  • Count and verify incoming product from daily routes as needed
  • Receive and distribute incoming FedEx and UPS shipments
  • Perform other duties as necessary

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
  • A valid forklift and pallet jack certification
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of building maintenance and safe work practices
  • Skills in organizing and prioritizing work and tasks
  • Ability to operate a floor scrubber machine
  • Ability to provide attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • Personal protective equipment
  • Proper lifting techniques

Work Environment and Equipment

Work generally takes place in a warehouse setting. Exposure to hot indoor temperatures during summer months. Exposure to cleaning chemicals. Long and irregular hours during peak seasons.
