Finley Farms Hospitality Internship offers an immersive work program giving students a holistic overview of the business, focusing on career and competency development while gaining valuable experience with a multifaceted company.Nestled among the natural beauty of theOzarks, you'll find Finley Farms & The Ozark Mill situated perfectly on the Finley River at the centerof town. From here, it's a short hike to pristine fishing holes, prime hunting grounds, wooded hills for camping, clear streams for canoeing, and much more - including Bass Pro Shops and Big Cedar Lodge.

What students get out of an internship at Finley Farms:

Working alongside talented individuals, you will be jumping in to assist with varying hospitalityprocesses whilegaining work experience that directly impacts our business. As a player on ourteamyou will receiveon-the-job training, professional development, and networking opportunitiesto build your professional brand. Upon successful completion of the program,participants will receive an internshipgraduation certificate, the opportunity to receive a letter of recommendation for future employment, and consideration for permanent job placement at Finley Farms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend all scheduled work shifts, be prompt and timely, wear appropriate uniform, and participate in program-specific activities
  • Work well with others in a close, fast-paced environment with a learning attitude
  • Participate in daily team huddles and safety meetings
  • Executespecific tasks within each assigned area based upon property needs, understandinghow multiple departments play a key role in our success
  • Contribute individually and as a team member to support various hospitality services and work toward goals and objectives assigned by an experienced manager
  • Learn to safely handle job-specific tools, including small kitchen equipment
  • Work in partnership with the local schoolleaders to maintain expectations and program standards
  • Represent Finley Farms in a positive, friendly and professional manner at all times
  • Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Available for full commitment of internship program, including orientation and graduation
  • Obtain reliable transportation to designated work site
  • Meet the minimum criteria/requirements for internship program (specific to sponsoring organization), including Finley Farms hiring procedures & policies
  • Ability to follow detailedinstructions and ask questions when necessary
  • Abilityto lift up to 25 pounds
  • Eligible to work in the US

Skills and Knowledge

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such asproportions percentages,measurements, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Other Skills and Abilities: The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a genuine desire to achieve the highest standards of guest satisfaction.
