Job Title: Jewish Rabbi
Location: Belvoir Chapel, Ft. Belvoir, VA.
Schedule: Service shall begin at 19:00 on Fridays.
Qualifications:
  • Possess ecclesiastical endorsement from an authorized Jewish endorsing authority.
  • Be a person of faith.
  • Serving the full spectrum of Jewish traditions and beliefs (e.g., Reform, Conservative, Orthodox, and Reconstructionist)
Duties:
  • Conduct Friday evening worship service: Includes Sermon and normal Friday evening service, and Kiddush at Oneg that follows service.
  • Conduct High Holy Day Services: Yom Kippur, Rosh Hashanah, Simchat Torah, Sukkot, Chanukah, Purim, Shavuot, Tisha B’Av, Passover Seder, et.
  • Conduct monthly Saturday Morning services; Shacharit, Torah Service, Sermon, Musaf, and Prayers at fellowship gathering following the service.
  • Conduct Shivah home and memorial service for death of a Fort Belvoir Jewish Community member and perform marriage ceremonies.
  • Provide instruction in any aspect of the Jewish faith for adults or children.
