About us:
Alaska Fracture & Orthopedic Clinic radiology department provides x-ray services for our orthopedic patients. We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our radiology team. Experience in a radiology department is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person to join our growing radiology team.
What You’ll Do:
This position will be in our radiology department. You will assist the radiologic technologist with the below processes:
- Prepare radiology room for patients.
- Transfer patients to/from exam rooms.
- Assist with x-rays exams under the supervision of radiologic technologist.
- Assist with obtaining outside images for patient appointments.
- Schedule appointments, perform secretarial tasks and completes forms.
- Accurately comprehends and interprets verbal orders and written orders.
- Maintains records that include patient information, x-rays, related documents/reports, and other correspondence.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Need for This Job:
- High School Diploma or general education degree
- Current Medical Assistant Certification
- CPR/ First Aid Certification
- Have general knowledge of EMR software and Outlook Programs
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
