About us: 

Alaska Fracture & Orthopedic Clinic radiology department provides x-ray services for our orthopedic patients.  We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our radiology team.  Experience in a radiology department is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person to join our growing radiology team.   

 

What You’ll Do:

This position will be in our radiology department.  You will assist the radiologic technologist with the below processes:

 

  • Prepare radiology room for patients.
  • Transfer patients to/from exam rooms.
  • Assist with x-rays exams under the supervision of radiologic technologist.
  • Assist with obtaining outside images for patient appointments.
  • Schedule appointments, perform secretarial tasks and completes forms.
  • Accurately comprehends and interprets verbal orders and written orders.
  • Maintains records that include patient information, x-rays, related documents/reports, and other correspondence.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

What You Need for This Job:

  • High School Diploma or general education degree
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification
  • CPR/ First Aid Certification
  • Have general knowledge of EMR software and Outlook Programs
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
