Are you looking to be a key member of a small team with big mission impact? NS2 Mission is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed professional to fill the role of Senior Desk Officer. This position will be joining our team based in the Tysons, VA area. This position will focus on operational management and coordination for multiple expeditionary, technical projects around the world. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing briefings, coordinating travel, and procuring equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply advanced knowledge and expertise of operations, operational tradecraft, and intelligence priorities when providing strategic guidance and operational case management.
  • Organize multiple projects through development and sustainment of a project plan, development of a schedule with key milestones, identification of risks, contingency plans and allocation of project resources.
  • Proactively manage schedules, dependencies, and budgets; coordinate with external stakeholders; communicate status with client management.
  • Lead meetings with project stakeholders to capture requirements and develop project plans.
  • Execute formal communications and approval milestones according to customer protocols.

Expected Travel: Up to 10%


Required Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant experience, including some time spent in the foreign field.
  • Prior experience in supporting intelligence operations and understanding of research and analysis methodologies in support of the intelligence life cycle.
  • Ability to deal effectively, comfortably, and confidently with people at all levels of responsibility, authority, and rank.
  • Exceptional character traits in organization, proactiveness, judgment, and punctuality.
  • Demonstrated strength in written communication, especially writing cables.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office products: (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Project)
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous customer experience as a Desk Officer or Reports Officer.
  • Project Management certification such as PMP.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.

Position Clearance Requirement:

TS/SCI with FSP
