We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Masonry Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our preconstruction team, the ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost and materials required for various masonry projects, collaborating closely with the Project Manager and the General Contractor. 


Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing requirement documents, blueprints, and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project and to prepare accurate cost estimates for masonry projects.
  • Perform accurate and thorough take-offs.
  • Calculate the quantity and cost of materials, labor, and equipment needed for each project.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, foremen, and clients to understand project requirements and constraints.
  • Research and evaluate suppliers to ensure the best quality materials at the most competitive prices.
  • Establish and maintain a historical cost database for labor, material, and equipment to ensure accurate and efficient bids.
  • Prepare detailed and organized project proposals, including itemized cost breakdowns and timelines.
  • Present estimates and proposals to clients and stakeholders, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Maintain accurate records of project estimates, costs, and related documentation.
  • Collaborate with the preconstruction team to align with the company's objectives and goals.
  • Monitor project progress and budget throughout the construction phase, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to ensure completion of all duties and tasks.


Requirements:

  • Degree in construction technology, business, engineering, or related field is desirable but not required.
  • Proven experience as a masonry estimator or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software (Tradesman) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
