Cataldo is the largest private EMS provider and private ambulance service in Massachusetts. In addition to topping 50,000 emergency medical transportations annually through 911 contacts with multiple cities, we partner with some of Massachusetts top medical facilities to provide non-emergency medical ambulance and wheelchair transportation services. We are also an EMS provider to specialty venues like Fenway Park, Warrior Arena, and TD Garden.

While Cataldo began as an ambulance service company, we continue to grow through innovation and expand the services we offer to the local communities. As a public health resource, Cataldo offers training and education to the healthcare and emergency medical community through the Cataldo Education Center. This includes certification training for new employees as well as the training needed for career advancement. Through our partnerships with health systems, hospitals, managed care organizations, and others, we continue to provide in-home care through the state’s first and largest Mobile Integrated Health program, SmartCare. We also have delivered more than 3 million vaccines and continue to operate vaccination sites throughout the state of Massachusetts.

Mobile Integrated Health Nurse Job Benefits

  • Starting wages $42/hour with a $3/hr stipend for any hours worked between 3pm on Friday through 11:59pm Sunday.
  • Shifts are available 7 days a week from 6:00am to 11:00am

Mobile Integrated Health Nurse (RN) Role Description

MIH RNs are delivering the future of healthcare by providing the right care, at the right time, in the right place. Providing an option for on-demand, in-home physician supported care, our innovative SmartCare division is improving patient outcomes, increasing patient satisfaction, and reducing the number of hospital admissions and re-admissions through community medicine.

MIH RNs provide the highest levels of clinic assessment and treatment with an expanded scope of care. Patients are treated directly in their homes to reduce the need for ambulance transportation and hospital stays. Due to the nature of care needed, SmartCare professionals work as an extension of the patient’s medical team and may work closely with the same set of patients and their families. Mobile Integrated Health Nurse (RN) Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality patient care in accordance with clinical policies, statewide protocol, and standards of care
  • Attend to patients in a courteous and professional manner
  • Participate in discharge planning of SmartCare patients
  • Complete initial in-home assessments and on-going home visits as appropriate for all patients enrolled in SmartCare program
  • Complete online documentation accurately and on time.
  • Communicate effectively with EMS agencies, physicians, and other healthcare providers

Mobile Integrated Health Nurse (RN) Job Requirements

  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Massachusetts
  • Certifications in Basic Life Support
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record through a DMV background check
  • 2 years minimum experience as a nurse preferred
  • Phlebotomy & IV skills preferred (training provided)
  • Be in good clinical standing
  • Possess strong customer service and communication skills
  • Be able to work independently and be able to function as part of a care planning team
  • Pass a background check including CORI
  • Pass a drug screen and lift test
  • Commitment to providing exemplary customer service
  • Must have a smart phone
  • Must have a reliable personal vehicle

Mobile Integrated Health Nurse (RN) Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and maneuver 125 pounds with assistance and without difficulty
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs without difficulty
  • Ability to sit, stand, and kneel for long periods of time
  • Ability to walk without difficulty and without affecting the immediate performance of job-related duties
  • Ability to bend and stoop as duties require
  • Ability to occasionally work in low light and confined spaces
