Our client, a prominent industry leader, is seeking a seasoned Controls/Systems Engineer to join their team in Newcastle, OK. This role demands a deep understanding of DCS and PLC systems, coupled with a strong foundation in chemical engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert control system knowledge to optimize plant operations, enhance efficiency, and ensure safety.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive process control program aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of control systems, including DCS and PLC platforms.
  • Troubleshoot control system issues, implement corrective actions, and optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities and implement control strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry, regulatory, and company standards, including safety instrumented systems (SIS).
  • Provide technical guidance and support to plant personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in process automation and safety instrumented systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of DCS and PLC systems, including configuration, programming, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide timely technical advice.
  • Proven experience in multiple plant and site environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
