Job Description: Driver - CDL A

We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver with a CDL A license to join our team. As a Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to designated locations. Your main responsibilities will include operating the assigned vehicle in compliance with traffic laws, loading and unloading cargo, and maintaining accurate records of deliveries.

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle, specifically a truck or a van, with a CDL A license, adhering to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and regulations
- Transport goods and materials from one location to another
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage during transportation
- Inspect the vehicle daily before and after each shift, reporting any defects or issues to the appropriate supervisor
- Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, including times, locations, and items delivered
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring timely and friendly interactions with clients and customers during drop-offs and pick-ups
- Communicate effectively with Supervisor and team members to ensure proper coordination of deliveries and to address any issues that may arise during transportation
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, to minimize risk, accidents, and injuries

Requirements:
- Valid CDL A license, with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in a commercial setting
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Ability to handle and transport various types of cargo, including potentially heavy or fragile items
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
- High level of professionalism and customer service orientation
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions accurately
- Strong physical stamina, as the role may require lifting and carrying heavy items
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Willingness to adhere to company policies and safety protocols, including drug and alcohol testing as required by law or company policy.
