Summary

Performs intermediate technical work providing the support and coordination necessary to provide safe housing to Authority residents through Resident Safety Operations, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the supervision of the Resident Safety Manager. Limited oversight is exercised over resident patrols, floor captains, and other job-related volunteers.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree with coursework in criminal justice, social science, public administration, or related field, and moderate experience in law enforcement or community service. Intermediate user and experience with MS Word and Excel is required. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Essential Duties

  • Coordinates safety, security, and crime prevention events and projects.
  • Creates educational materials for Authority residents relating to issues of safety and crime prevention.
  • Provides safety crime prevention information, advice, presentations, and referrals to Authority residents.
  • Researches and secures funding opportunities for safety and crime prevention programming.
  • Maintains data on resident crime activities and criminal profiles.
  • Compiles and submits monthly, semi-annual, and annual reporting.
  • Participates in functions of the Crime Task Force, Gun Safety, Gang Strategy, Local Emergency Planning and other crime safety related committees.
